It all started when…
Laura Pizzarelli has over 20 years of creative experience in fashion, entertainment and advertising. Starting her career in the music industry, Laura branded new artists, produced album artwork, directed music videos and created promotional assets for Ruthless, Trauma and Interscope Records, including photo and artwork for some of the most iconic album’s like No Doubt’s first platinum album, ‘Tragic Kingdom.” In 2006, Laura became one of the first employees at J Brand, Inc. As the Vice President of Creative she built the brand’s creative department and established J Brand’s global image. Laura then launched the brand’s website, concepted and produced seasonal photo shoots and marketing materials and created ad campaigns alongside top photographers; Patrick Demarchelier. Lachlan Bailey, Daniela Federici, Josh Olins and Boo George. She also collaborated alongside top fashion designers; Bella Freud, Christopher Kane, Hussein Chalayan and Proenza Schouler.
After 10 years at J Brand, Inc., Laura departed the brand to consult at Gap Inc. as the brand’s Interim Vice President of Creative. In a short 6 months, Laura initiated a complete website visual overhaul, upgraded the brand’s visual packaging and redesigned the in-store marketing. She also helped launch and implement a new campaign strategy for Gap’s Fall and Holiday collections called “Meet me in the Gap” which also included Gapfit in their “Sport meet Street” campaign. Focusing on the brand’s DNA, Laura infused the brand with the youthful optimism of its past and brought in a more current on trend aesthetic working with celebrity talent like Cher, Future and Janelle Monae.
At the end of seven months Laura left internal Gap Inc. with a project in hand for a kid’s collaboration with Sarah Jessica Parker set to Launch in March, 2018 and started her own company “A Women Walks the Edge” – A company dedicated to helping brands navigate todays creative and marketing needs including Creative Direction, Brand Strategy and Execution - Concept and Content Creation for all mediums and platforms while focusing on the Brands own unique and passionate voice.
